Thank you ladies, for taking the time to write to us. Your feedback is most welcome and much appreciated.
Dear Michelle, I wanted to write and say thank you so much for your wonderful book. What a relief to have found a resource that so clearly explains and demonstrates how to take care of your pelvic floor. I had a complete pelvic floor reconstruction after the birth of my second baby. At 39 and having been a very active gym-goer it was the most horrific experience and I felt like I aged 30 years over night. I was at the gym doing squats with huge weights and basically felt my pelvic floor drop like a lift dropping between floors. It left me feeling terrified of exercising again. No woman should have to go through that experience yet my research into this shows there are millions of us out there worldwide living with pelvic floor dysfunction. I got to a very dark place and felt frustrated at the lack of information and help out there. I was lucky to have found such a brilliant surgeon who was able to do my repair without the use of mesh – widely known to cause some lasting issues. I then found your book which gave me the confidence to hit the gym again and exercise safely, confident that what I was doing was helping rather than harming me. It has been six months and my surgeon has just assessed me and said that my pelvic floor had “improved” post-surgery thanks to the wonderful exercises in your book. I hope many other woman discover this valuable resource and I’ve been doing my best to ensure that it gets the public awareness it so rightly deserve. Inside Out showed me a way to manage my pelvic floor issues without letting them take over my life and now I’m happier than ever, having found a way to keep it all in perspective and realise that pelvic floor dysfunction can be managed, just like any other muscle injury – with the right care and exercise. Hi Ladies
I just wanted to say “Thank you” for such a wonderful resource. One of my patients made me aware of your book “Inside Out” yesterday. She has a prolapse and despite several conversations between myself and her personal trainer as to the appropriate form of exercise, he continued to prescribe unsafe exercises for. Through desperation, she searched the next for some “cold hard literature” for her personal trainer and came across your book and hence bought it along for me to see yesterday. I read it from cover to cover last night and ordered a copy for the clinic. I will now be recommending your book to all my clients. I absolutely loved it and can see how much easier it will now make it to educate clients in appropriate forms of exercise
Thank you once again

Your book is so excellent I only wished I had known about the book (and you) earlier…I’m so glad I read your book. Laura
What an excellent site. Found you via Google after having prolapse surgery and
hysterectomy 5 weeks ago. Will try to put your exercises into practice. Many thanks Maria
Hi, I just wanted to say thanks for the fantastic information and videos you have on
your website. I have been trying to strengthen my pelvic floor and glut muscles etc
for a long time and I really like these simple and effective exercises.
Thanks a lot and once again thanks for posting the great videos, Sarah
Hi Michelle,
firstly I would like to thank you for the information on this website and your book, it has really helped me following my abdominal hysterectomy in June. A friend pointed me in your direction & I was so grateful, a) to be able to have something positive to focus on & 'do' in the post op period and b) for alerting me to the danger of prolapse. Why don't the doctors tell us this??
I've been practising the exercises in your book; am gently progressing but as I approach my 12 week post op mark I am looking forward to starting yoga again. Your book is very informative …
Keep up the good work Michelle…I wish you were available on the UK NHS!!
Thanks so much for your informative information. Although I had never heard of these potential risks to pelvic floor I have always suspected that some exercises I have been doing for years were having a negative effect in certain areas. What a wonderful thing your knowledge is their to be shared for us women just at the click of a mouse .I am very grateful to have learned such helpful information from spot on articles you have supplied Thankyou suzie.
Thanks for a great site. I think there is a real need to bring such topics, such as pelvic floor dysfunction, incontinence and prolapse issues out of the closet and bring a greater understanding and awareness to the entire public. I for one, being a Pilates instructor will be more aware of such issues with my clients and also myself. I do find it frustrating trying to inform some women of the damage they may be doing to their pelvic floor by performing certain abdominal exercises— they have been so ingrained to believe that the only real ab exercises are the ones which give us a six pack and that unlessyou feel the burn that exercise is deemed useless.Hopefully with sites like yours, the public; including personal trainers, fitness, yoga and Pilates instructors; as well as many of our medical practitioners will become more informed. Keep up the good work, regards Michele
Thanks Michelle, Your explanations where so much more helpful and some medical people I have
encountered, so much appreciated, Anna
Thank you for your book Michelle. Inside Out has changed my life! I found it just after I had spent the previous 9 months doing all the wrong exercises and making my 20 year prolapse worse than ever before, and without realizing that I was doing this to myself with the wrong exercises. Do you have an exercise video to accompany this book? Bernie
It’s lovely to have found your website. I'm 33 and have bowel prolapse which occurred 12 weeks after my last baby. I have been to physio classes for it but it’s nice to have found your website and to be able to look at it when I feel I need that re assurance that I will survive and can live with this through exercise. cheers and thank you, Linda
Thank you for posting the exercise videos on YouTube showing how to exercise properly while living with uterine prolapse. I have both rectocele and cystocele and would like to do strength training, but am afraid to do it improperly out of fear of making the prolapse worse. This isn't good as this means I'm not getting any exercise at all, and not helping my weight problem. So thank you for the information, and I hope you will come out with an exercise video that one can purchase and use in the privacy of our homes, warm regards Jane
Hi Michelle Thanks for your very informative website and book. I really appreciate having access to this great information, Liz
I think your book is so important that a copy should be in every gym attended by women. It was by doing the "wrong" exercises prescribed at a gym that I first developed symptoms. Not one gym I have attended, despite assurances to the contrary, has been aware of the exercises to be avoided by women with pelvic floor problems. In this respect there seems to be a significant gap in the training of gym staff. Thank you again.
I so appreciate the wonderful resources and info you have made available on the internet Best wishes June
Hi Michelle, I have had a bladder urgency problem since childhood. Your bladder control tips video is so helpful and it is the first time I have heard these tips. Your website is a truly wonderful resource which I so appreciate. I am looking forward to reading your book. Best wishes, Jilly
Good morning,
Thank you for your ebook…was able to read it, plus other tips from your website which gave me many helpful tips even while hospitalized.
Hi
Received support undies work a treat, especially when wearing them when out walking!
Regards Jenny.
Hi , I am a physiotherapist, returning to the workforce after having my child , I have recently completed some physio run training pilates classes, I am starting pilates classes at a school for mums next term with focus on pelvic floor and pelvic exercises, I have purchased your book, fantastic to know all the exercises not to do to protect pelvic floor, thanks for updates, I will be buying Sue Crofts book too! Regards Kath
Hi I have received my order. Your website is excellent and your short videos are most helpful. Your book is very clear and useful. Especially in that I have immediately stopped the wrong ab exercises! Many thanks
Hello, I love your book "Inside Out" it was EXACTLY what I was after since my vaginal prolapse repair earlier this year. Thanks so much for the book and your time,
regards Joanne
I too have had prolapse surgery twice. I am currently in my early stages of recovery and I also found that advice from doctors, nurses and gym instructors was of no help. I went back to the gym after my first surgery and I am sure I damaged myself even further after the first surgery as my prolapse worsened over time. Before my second surgery I decided to train as a personal trainer and I feel I am now able to train without fear of doing damage especially with the help of your videos and your book which I received just before I went in for surgery a couple of months ago. I hope to use my knowledge to help other women who are in my position or may be at risk of doing damage with certain training programs. The fact that this information is free and informative to women is fantastic and I thank you greatly. Meg
Thank you for your prompt delivery of "Inside Out". I am due to have surgery(hysterectomy) on 25th Oct this year. I like to keep fit and exercise daily with walks and "5 Tibetan rites", also a resisitance/cardio class twice weekly. My concerns are around what I can do after the surgery, which I am aware is not much. So your book, which consolidates all the learning I have done in my exercise classes confirms I can still exercise from the inside out.
Thanks again Pat
Thankyou so much receiving your emails makes me feel so much better. I had surgery three months ago for stress incontinence. I like other women in your book made my problem worse with pilates and boot camps. I was verydepressed when my surgeon made me promise I would not go back to the gym. Your book has given me confidence that I can still keep in shape with out doing any further damage to my weak pelvic floor. I am 37 years old and I want to stay fit and healthy so thankyou. Siobhan
Now I have a copy of your excellent book, which arrived very quickly, I feel empowered to give more shape to my post hysterectomy recovery, other than walking everyday. It is far superior to any of the limited general advice we receive in the UK. Time to go out and get my exercise ball. Thank you Michelle , Carol United Kingdom
Hi Michelle I have received your book and I think the tips you offer are amazing. There is so little info out there about exercising and protecting your pelvic wall. I am currently dealing with a prolapsed bladder…Thank you once again for taking the time to write this book for those of us out there who love to exercise and who have to deal with some sort of pelvic dysfunction…You have given me a big part of my life back Mandy Ontario Canada
