I too have had prolapse surgery twice. I am currently in my early stages of recovery and I also found that advice from doctors, nurses and gym instructors was of no help. I went back to the gym after my first surgery and I am sure I damaged myself even further after the first surgery as my prolapse worsened over time. Before my second surgery I decided to train as a personal trainer and I feel I am now able to train without fear of doing damage especially with the help of your videos and…Meg
Hi Michelle I have received your book and I think the tips you offer are amazing. There is so little info out there about exercising and protecting your pelvic wall. I am currently dealing with a prolapsed bladder…Thank you once again for taking the time to write this book for those of us out there who love to exercise and who have to deal with some sort of pelvic dysfunction…You have given me a big part of my life backMandy Ontario Canada
Thanks for a great site. I think there is a real need to bring such topics, such as pelvic floor dysfunction, incontinence and prolapse issues out of the closet and bring a greater understanding and awareness to the entire public. I for one, being a Pilates instructor will be more aware of such issues with my clients and also myself. I do find it frustrating trying to inform some women of the damage they may be doing to their pelvic floor by performing certain abdominal exercises— they…Michele
Thank you for posting the exercise videos on YouTube showing how to exercise properly while living with uterine prolapse. I have both rectocele and cystocele and would like to do strength training, but am afraid to do it improperly out of fear of making the prolapse worse. This isn't good as this means I'm not getting any exercise at all, and not helping my weight problem. So thank you for the information, and I hope you will come out with an exercise video that one can purchase and use…Jane
Thank you for your prompt delivery of "Inside Out". I am due to have surgery(hysterectomy) on 25th Oct this year. I like to keep fit and exercise daily with walks and "5 Tibetan rites", also a resisitance/cardio class twice weekly. My concerns are around what I can do after the surgery, which I am aware is not much. So your book, which consolidates all the learning I have done in my exercise classes confirms I can still exercise…Pat

Thankyou so much receiving your emails makes me feel so much better. I had surgery three months ago for stress incontinence. I like other women in your book made my problem worse with pilates and boot camps. I was verydepressed when my surgeon made me promise I would not go back to the gym. Your book has given me confidence that I can still keep in shape with out doing any further damage to my weak pelvic floor. I am 37 years old and I want to stay fit and healthy so thankyou.Siobhan

Thanks so much for your informative information. Although I had never heard of these potential risks to pelvic floor I have always suspected that some exercises I have been doing for years were having a negative effect in certain areas. What a wonderful thing your knowledge is their to be shared for us women just at the click of a mouse .I am very grateful to have learned such helpful information from spot on articles you have supplied Thankyousuzie
Hello Michelle, Just wanted to let you know that I am really impressed with your Inside Out ebook. There is so much helpful , pertinent information in it. I honestly think it should be required reading for women of all ages..Pam
Hi Ladies I just wanted to say “Thank you” for such a wonderful resource. One of my patients made me aware of your book “Inside Out” yesterday. She has a prolapse and despite several conversations between myself and her personal trainer as to the appropriate form of exercise, he continued to prescribe unsafe exercises for. Through desperation, she searched the next for some “cold hard literature” for her personal trainer and came across your book and hence bought…Nicole Weir
Hi I have received my order. Your website is excellent and your short videos are most helpful. Your book is very clear and useful. Especially in that I have immediately stopped the wrong ab exercises! Many thanks
I think your book is so important that a copy should be in every gym attended by women. It was by doing the "wrong" exercises prescribed at a gym that I first developed symptoms. Not one gym I have attended, despite assurances to the contrary, has been aware of the exercises to be avoided by women with pelvic floor problems. In this respect there seems to be a significant gap in the training of gym staff. Thank you again.
Hi Michelle Thanks for your very informative website and book. I really appreciate having access to this great informationLiz
Hi , I am a physiotherapist, returning to the workforce after having my child , I have recently completed some physio run training pilates classes, I am starting pilates classes at a school for mums next term with focus on pelvic floor and pelvic exercises, I have purchased your book, fantastic to know all the exercises not to do to protect pelvic floor, thanks for updates, I will be buying Sue Crofts book too! RegardsKath
It’s lovely to have found your website. I'm 33 and have bowel prolapse which occurred 12 weeks after my last baby. Hello, I love your book "Inside Out" it was EXACTLY what I was after since my vaginal prolapse repair earlier this year. Thanks so much for the book and your time, regardsJoanne
Now I have a copy of your excellent book, which arrived very quickly, I feel empowered to give more shape to my post hysterectomy recovery, other than walking everyday. It is far superior to any of the limited general advice we receive in the UK. Time to go out and get my exercise ball. Thank you Michelle ,Carol United Kingdom
Hi Received support undies work a treat, especially when wearing them when out walking! RegardsJenny

Dear Michelle, I wanted to write and say thank you so much for your wonderful book. What a relief to have found a resource that so clearly explains and demonstrates how to take care of your pelvic floor. I had a complete pelvic floor reconstruction after the birth of my second baby. At 39 and having been a very active gym-goer it was the most horrific experience and I felt like I aged 30 years over night. I was at the gym doing squats with huge weights and basically felt my pelvic floor…Louise NZ
